This November 7th-18th, IFC presents Man Up Week. In combination with educational programming, IFC will also host a 3v3 Soccer Tournament on November 7th. Proceeds will go to Grass Roots Soccer, which is an organization focusing on AIDS education and prevention in third world countries. Georgia Tech IFC awards $8,000 dollars in scholarships each year. $7,000 dollars was awarded to 4 active members of a Georgia Tech IFC fraternity in the Spring of 2014. Selections were based on leadership, academic achievement, and campus involvement. The recipients exemplified excellence in all three categories.
The Fall Rush period this year will begin on August 14th, 2014 and conclude on August 22nd. If you are interested at all in joining a Fraternity or learning more about the process, you are invited to visit chapter houses to learn more about them individually as well as the Greek community as a whole.
IFC would like to thank all of those who applied for our scholarship this year! 1st place went to Syfuddin Rashid of Sigma Phi Epsilon who won $3000, 2nd place went to Noland Smith of Beta Theta Pi who won $2000, and the honorable mentions were Jeffrey McNabb of Delta Tau Delta, and Andrew Taylor of Phi Gamma Delta who each won $1000. A $1,000 dollar scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman. Selections will be based on leadership, academic achievement, and campus involvement. The top applicant that exemplifies excellence in all three categories will receive a $3,000 scholarship. A runner-up scholarship of $2,000 dollars will be awarded along with two $1,000 dollar scholarships for applicants deserving an honorable mention.
